The Detroit Regional Chamber Campaign

HealthForward – Driving Employee Health Care Value

Welcome

Choosing Wisely: All About the Choosing Wisely Campaign.

Welcome to the Detroit Regional Chamber Choosing Wisely resource website!

Through its program, HealthForward, the Detroit Regional Chamber focuses on helping employers and employees get the most from their health care dollar.  This includes providing resources and education about how to be a better health care consumer.

Choosing Wisely is a campaign that provides patients with tools and resources to prepare them for when they need care.  The Chamber has partnered with Consumer Reports to get you access to these resources which are free and available for you to share with your organization, employees, and their families.

For more information about this campaign or to provide us with suggestions, please contact Jonathan So at [email protected].

Tests and Treatments Employees May Not Need (ACOEM)

Some employers have doctors do medical exams to help keep workers healthy and productive. Or, a new employee may be sent to the doctor before starting the job. The doctor may order tests and treatments. But some tests are not needed. And some treatments may actually be risky for employees.
